Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your data.
Last updated: 9 April 2026
1. Data controller
Interview Intelligence (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our order process. Contact: hello@interviewintelligence.net.
2. What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address, and any phone number you provide.
- Documents — CVs, job descriptions, and supporting files you upload.
- Order information — tier selection, delivery preferences, and payment reference.
- Usage data — anonymised analytics (page views, referral source) via privacy-respecting tooling. We do not use advertising trackers.
3. Lawful basis for processing
- Contract performance — processing your order and delivering your pack.
- Legitimate interest — operational record-keeping, fraud prevention, and improving our service.
- Consent — where you opt in to marketing communications (you may withdraw at any time).
4. How we use your data
We use your information to: deliver the preparation pack you ordered; communicate about your order; process payments; maintain internal records for tax and legal compliance; and improve our service based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
5. Data retention
Uploaded documents (CVs, job descriptions) are deleted automatically once your pack has been prepared and dispatched — typically within minutes of order completion. Order records and contact details are retained for 6 years for tax and legal compliance.
6. Third-party processors
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate and deliver our service:
- Hosting — Vercel (website hosting, based in the US, EU Standard Contractual Clauses in place).
- Payment processing — Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant; we never see or store your full card details).
- Email — transactional email service for order confirmations and delivery.
- Production tooling — specialist software used in the research and writing of your pack. Where such tools process personal data contained in your submission (such as your CV or job description), they do so under appropriate data processing agreements and are used solely for the purpose of producing your order.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes. All processors are bound by contractual obligations consistent with UK GDPR.
7. International transfers
Some processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where this applies, transfers are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards under UK GDPR.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@interviewintelligence.net. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and secure deletion procedures for uploaded documents.
10. Complaints
If you are unsatisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
